Team RAF
Mountain Mayhem was a punishing event this year. It rained very early in the race, just after it went dark & this caused the ground to cut up instantly. I was in charge of getting the bikes up to readieness and we had a couple of dirtworker cleaners and some buckets & brushes. The bikes came back from their laps in horrible conditions and apart from one big time broken bike, they were easily turned around and ready for another lap. I was the only one using any lube, the rest of the team were busy preparing the bikes for me to lube up and adjust. I used only Brunox lubes, Top Kett, Deo, Turbo spray and the odd drop of High Speed, nothing else. In the past I have been asked to apply more lube to chains as they soon dry out, noth this race. Top Kett kept them running a treat & were easier to clean after the mudfest of Mayhem. The riders loved what Deo does to the forkseals and I felt a noticeable difference after a few applications.
The RAF first team came first in the services category and excellently overall. We have some
superb riders this year, one is bordering on the best the RAF have ever seen! I can honestly say that the Brunox products we used helped to give us the edge on our competition.
I will continue to use Brunox products and would highly recommend the range to any cycle mechanic, infact, any mechanic at all.
